The latest iteration of G-Cloud launched on 22 May 2017 with a new three lot structure designed to more clearly define the services being offered as part of ongoing reforms to the procurement framework.

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has addressed confusion that the previous lots (defined as Specialist Cloud Services, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS)), were not an accurate representation of the current cloud technology market.

These are now replaced with the following classifications:

  • Cloud Software
  • Cloud Hosting
  • Cloud Support

Other improvements to the framework include more detail about services and solutions offered and better search functionality to make decisions on products easier.

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) works with both departments and organisations across the whole of the public sector to ensure maximum value is extracted from every commercial relationship and improve the quality of service delivery. The CCS goal is to become the “go-to” place for expert commercial and procurement services.

Services Elgin is offering on the framework include roadworks.org Portal Premium, roadworks.org Pro, Traffic Management App with Signage Add-on, Communications App, roadworks.org Pro Real-Time Traffic and Elgin Data & Analytics services.
