The ELGIN EToN Module enables Local Authorities and Utility Companies to create and manage works notices and permits as required by legislation.
The module has many benefits over traditonal Asset Management systems which are usually expensive and often carry a great burden of legacy from previous versions.
Key benefits:
- Enables your organisation to manage roadworks through the full works lifecycle
- 100% web based - works on mobile and tablet devices
- Massively cost efficient. Site based licensing, NOT per user licensing: Unlimited users. Unlimited notices / permits
- Enables your works management team to devolve noticing / permiting to the teams actually doing the work
- Easy-to-use: assumes minimal knowledge of EToN Code of Practice
- "Novice-proof" user interface - prevents non compliant notice transactions being sent
- Fulfils the TMA "parity" requirement whereby LAs must issue notices for own works in the same way as Utilities
Key features:
- Fully EToN 5 compliant, for both Notice and Permit regimes
- Fully map based: fast, intuitive mapping down to MasterMap level
- Set up and manage multiple notices / permits as a single project - e.g. where a works spans multiple roads
- All notice / permit transactions are 100% EToN validated before sending
Case studies:
In 2007 Hampshire County Council adopted the ELGIN EToN Module as their main noticing platform for own works. By 2011 the county had over 100 registered users submitting notices. The adoption of the ELGIN software and associated business process change has resulted in teams managing their own works noticing, driving significant savings in the reduction of back office staff overhead and software licensing costs.
Warwickshire County Council has rolled the ELGIN EToN Module out across the county enabling works and schemes to be managed and coordinated in full compliance with the parity requirements of TMA, and at a fraction of the cost of implementing noticing via their asset management system.
